Atom Willard
Full Name: Atom David Willard
Current Age: 34
Adam "Atom" Willard was born August 15, 1973, and is best known for drumming in the bands Rocket from the Crypt, The Offspring, and Angels & Airwaves. Rocket from the Crypt was formed in 1990 and Atom remained the drummer for 10 years. With RFTC, he recorded several albums, from "Scream, Dracula, Scream!" in 1995 and "RFTC" in 1998. Due to disagreements between the members on where the direction of the band was going, Atom left the band in early 2000.
In 2003, Atom joined The Offspring, and toured with them several times worldwide. They also participated in the Vans Warped Tour in 2005, supporting two of their hit-albums "Splinter" and "Greatest Hits". In late 2005, Atom joined Angels and Airwaves, a band created by Tom Delonge (formerly of Blink-182 and Boxcar Racer). They released their first album We Don't Need to Whisper in May of 2006 and went on tour the end of that same year.
Willard competed in the Guitar Center Drum-off on January 6, 2007 and also spent a lot of time in the recording studio created the sound for their WDNTW sequel "I-Empire". Also in 2007, Atom departed from The Offspring, stating he wanted to focus on his work with Angels and Airwaves. I-Empire was released in November of 2007.
